Mission Statement

The Photonic Materials and Devices - Laboratory (PMD-L) is hosted in the premises of IESL-FORTH, and it was established in March 2004. The objectives of the group are focused in the research of materials, designs and laser based fabrication methods for the development of Photonic Devices mainly in fibre geometry, with emphasis given on grating based devices and photonic crystal fibres.
